Sickness absence reporting procedures at BKV

  1. On your first day of sickness absence notify your immediate superior
  2. When you return to work, inform your immediate superior
  3. Report your sickness absence in web reporting
  4. Your immediate superior “accepts” your sickness absence in web reporting

Sickness absence more than seven days

  • If you are sick for more than seven days, you should contact Human Resources
  • You must obtain a doctor’s medical certificate and send a copy of this to hr@bkv.liu.se or HR funktionen BKV Kansli, 581 83 Linköping
  • Do not report sickness absence in web reporting
  • The payroll office reports your absence to the Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) on the 15th day of sickness absence
  • Send in the original doctor’s medical certificate to the Försäkringskassan (in many cases the certificate is sent directly electronically to Försäkringskassan)
  • If your sickness absence is prolonged you need to continue to send in copies of your doctor’s medical certificates to HR and the original documents to Föräkringskassan
  • When you return to work you need to inform your immediate superior
  • Fill in the form Illness assurance that is signed by your immediate superior and sent to the payroll office: Lön, Hus Terra
