AI Competence - Call for activities
AI Competence for Sweden is a national initiative on education and competence development in artificial intelligence funded by the Swedish government. Linköping University is one of seven partners. Fredrik Heintz and Urban Forsberg are the LiU representatives.
Linköping University has received 2MSEK for activities within AI Competence during 2019. We now seek LiU employees who either have done or are willing to do relevant activities, and receive funding up to 200kSEK (with education OH) that has to be spent during 2019. Decisions regarding funding will be made roughly every second week on a first come first serve basis. Suggestions that are within the scope of the initiative and contributes to the overall LiU activities in the area are expected to be granted.
We seek three types of activities:
1) Do AI-related education and competence development activities directly towards people in the private or public sector (could also be within LiU). Examples include workshops, talks, and courses. Important aspects are the content, purpose and the size and composition of the audience.
2) Develop AI-related education and competence development activities towards people in the private or public sector (should be mainly for external audiences). Examples include courses, workshops, and talks. If funds are granted to develop activities it is expected that they are carried out during 2020 and that the outcome is reported back. Important aspects are relevance, novelty, and potential to reach large or new audiences.
3) Develop AI-related education and competence development activities activities within LiU. The purpose is mainly to add AI-related content to existing courses or develop new courses with significant AI content. We are especially looking for people interesting in adding AI content in non-technical courses. If funds are granted to develop activities it is expected that they are carried out during 2020 and that the outcome is reported back. Important aspects are relevance, novelty, and potential to reach large or new audiences.
