Fire, incidents and accidents

All types of accidents that occur at the workplace must be documented so that management, who bears responsibility for work environment, can gain information on what has occurred and take measures to ensure that it does not happen again. This documentation must also be provided to ensure that the University's insurance applies if complications occur. The form for reporting of incidents or accidents is filled in together with the lab supervisor.

Before beginning work, look around the premises to locate:

  • Emergency exits
  • Fire extinguishing equipment
  • Emergency showers
  • Emergency eye flushing equipment
  • Any first aid boards available

Ask the lab supervisor where the evacuation assembly point is.

In case of emergency, contact SOS Alarm on:

Mobile phone: 112

Campus Valla and Campus Norrköping, land line: 0112
