Course contents:

1. Fundamental properties for initial value problems. The concepts of well-posedness, initial conditions, effects of unceartainty in data, stiffness.
2. Numerical techniques, common model schemes, explicit, implicit, IMEX, global schemes, modern trends, practical aspects.

Organisation: Lectures + seminars + homework

Examination: Mandatory homeworks

Prerequisites: Knowledge in mathematics + numerical methods + programming (very familiar with Matlab).
