Kursinnehåll: Sobolev spaces, weak derivatives, properties of functions from Sobolev spaces, Sobolev inequalities, Poincaré's inequalities, the Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev inequality, compactness, second order elliptic equations, weak solutions, the Lax-Milgram theorem and existence of weak solutions, regularity of solutions, the Fredholm alternative, maximum principles and Harnack's inequality, eigenvalues and eigenfunctions.
Organisation: Föreläsningar och lektioner.
Examination: Inlämningsuppgifter och presentation av vissa delmoment i kursen.
Förkunskapskrav: Doktorandkurser i analys och funktionalanalys.
