Projects in Optimization of Realistic Complex Systems

Course literature: Case descriptions, project descriptions.
Course contents: Advanced model formulation, dynamic programming, metaheuristics, heuristics for combinatorical problems, methods for expensive objective functions. Examples of formulations containing environment and energy aspects.
Organisation: Project work containing model formulation, implementation of optimization algorithms, solution of optimization problems with self-made or available software, and presentation of the results.
Examination: Written project reports, code, presentation.
