Senior lecturer writes book on IT development
Only one in three IT projects around the world actually succeed, according to a rapport by American Standish Group. Lars Taxén, guest lecturer at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN), describes in his new book an alternative way to manage large and complex development projects.
The book is called "Using Activity Domain Theory for Managing Complex Systems" (published by IGI Global), and draws on many years of experience from Ericsson. Lars Taxén particularly stresses the importance of creating a common picture of what the project aims to develop.
“I doubt this book is going to be a general bestseller but it should definitely be of interest to people within the scientific research community and people working with IT development in industry and public administration”, says Lars Taxén.
