Philosophy at Linköping University
The Department of Culture and Communication offers undergraduate courses in philosophy in all main branches of philosophy: logic, epistemology, philosophy of science, history of philosophy, moral philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, etc. The teachers' main research interests are metaethics, moral responsibility, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, research ethics, and phenomenology.
A post-graduate school for students in philosophy was inaugurated in September 1997.
The department employs three full time teachers in philosophy, but philosophers employed by other sections of the university are also engaged in undergraduate teaching. A large proportion of these courses are given at other departments and deal with philosophy of science.
