Problem Based Learning and small group tutorial
This course is primarily intended for You who teach, or in the near future are going to teach, on courses that uses PBL. You are also welcome to take the course if You are interested in getting a clearer picture of what it means to teach according to PBL.
The theoretical foundation for problem based learning and student centred learning are introduced, as well as how this is practised at different educations at Linköping University. During the course we practice, reflect on and discuss the role of supervisor over base groups in relation to the pedagogic foundation this form rest on and how to promote student learning. Both in content and practise the course uses the concepts of PBL, which means that large part of the course is spent in base groups. Other forms of teaching common to PBL will, however, also be used.
