The University Board supported the continued investigation of the plans for a new flagship building at Campus Valla.
On the location of the existing Origo Building, there are plans for a building that will be a meeting place – primarily for students. The new building will feature all the services our students need for life on campus, a centralised library, study stations and a café and restaurant. A central place for students and staff to gather, and a clear entrance to Campus Valla.
The space that becomes available if The Humsam Library moves from the D Building would make it possible to gather the university’s administration and the deans’ offices, and to provide space for new teaching and student spaces.
A decision to sign a rental agreement contract was made by the University Board on 16 February 2015.
